Please vote for New Age Kurling as Best Sports Project 2010 (National Lottery Awards)
New Age Kurling has been shortlisted for the National Lottery Awards 2010 in the Best Sports Project category (down to the last 10). This project has been developing for just over a year now and receives Health and Wellbeing funding as well as National Lottery Community Investment Funding. This should help raise the profile of New Age Kurling last year 2.8 million people watched the finals that will be on BBC1 so we need your help to get us the votes to get us to the finals.

The Special Olympics City of York would like to invite young people and adults with learning disabilities to come to our open event. This is to find out more about the Special Olympics, to try out new sports and join our existing clubs. It is on Saturday 12th June 2010 from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. It is at David Lloyd, St John's Playing Field, Hull Road, York, YO10 3LG. York St John Inclusive Activity Club will be there giving a sample of our sessions and will be armed with flyers for anyone who wants to come along to our Saturday sessions! Come and try Boccia, Tennis, Athletics, Football, New Age Kurling and Short Mat Bowling. Please wear shoes (white if possible) that will not mark the floor.
